OUR SERVICES
Chimney Sweeping
Using brushes, rods and a vacuum to remove soot and other debris from the chimney I will leave your chimney clean and safe for use. I am trained in .chimney sweeping with traditional methods with brush and vacuum and also use rotary power sweeping systems. I will choose the best option for cleaning your flue. Your chimney will be clean and safe to use. If required a certificate can be issued to confirm this for insurance purposes etc.
Chimney Certificates
I can issue chimney certificates once I have swept your chimney. Some home insurance requires this. As I am trained and certified by NACS, National Association of Chimney Sweeps this carries their stamp.
CCTV inspection
Occasionally a problem with a chimney or other dry cavity space occurs which can’t easily be seen.
n some areas we are able to offer an inspection service that involves pushing a camera into the flue, in a similar fashion to sweeping the chimney.
This CCTV inspection can be very useful for assessing any damage when getting quotes for any remedial work, and for providing evidence for insurance or repair purposes.

Open Fires and Stoves
I can sweep both open fires and solid fuel stoves. How often you need to have your chimney swept depends on how often you use your chimney but for an open fire at least once a year.It is recommended by the Solid Fuel Association that chimneys serving coal fires (house coal) are swept at least twice a year, that smokeless fuel fires be swept at least once a year and that gas and oil fires are swept once a year. Finally, fires burning wood should have their chimneys swept every three months when in use.
